Weeknote #30
When you try to cram too much information into your head you get tired. That’s what happened to me this Friday after three days of non-stop information being input. That’s right, I started my new job this week! But on Friday night I crashed on the couch fairly early while watching TV. My brain had had enough.
The job is good. It’s a lot, but not in a bad way. There’s just a lot of stuff to learn for it, which makes sense, it’s a big job with a lot of responsibilities. I’m looking forward to really getting into the swing of things. I’m hoping by one month in I will really statr to feel like I’ve got a handle on things… oh, and people’s names. It’s going to be quite a change to my schedule too, which we will have to figure out, but it comes with benefits!
We also had the first day of school this week! So many firsts in the same week, it’s pretty neat, and wild. I think this is going to be a great year, not calendar year, but 365 days from today. These days will be good. I’m losing my train of thought. I had so many thoughts earlier in the day, and it was a good day, but I’ve forgotten them. I should take notes during the day. Of course that doesn’t work while I’m driving… so I need to figure something out for that. Anyways, I had a lot of thoughts for this, but now I can’t remember them. Let’s not get caught up on that and move on.
I had two days off the beginning of the week, before I started my new job, which was nice. I finished out Summer with the kiddo and we did some fun stuff, especially on Tuesday, our last day of Summer vacation! We went swimming, got lunch out at Panara (kiddo’s choice), played some video games, and had mac & cheese for dinner. A nice end to the Summer. Oh, and of couse laundry and showers so everything was fresh for first days.
I’ve been going through all the AppleTV shows and watching them. There’s just so much good media out there! I started Pluribus tonight, and I am excited to watch the other episodes. The first one was great. I’m not sure about Lucky yet, oh, and there’s another season of Silo out now! I just finished reading Wool, the book the show is based on. The differences were pretty intersting. They made sense thought. I also think it’s interesting that seasons one and two are both from the first book. Makes me excited to read the second book. And of course the third, but I want to see how the second book and third season align. Only thing is there are too many books to read and not enough time. How do I get paid to read books, where is that job?
Okay, it’s late and I have real work tomorrow. I’m going to end this early.
Until next time, good luck out there!
